The Nature of Color presents a broad view of color as both a scientific and cultural phenomenon. Visitors are invited to explore seven unique rooms, each featuring a distinct color that serves as a lens to engage visitors in a conversation about how we understand color and how color shapes our world. Color is also the driving force for the exhibit’s identity, utilizing large flats, gradients, and atmospheric arrays of imagery to create a spectrum that evolves as the show progresses. Generous fields of type create a sense of space and breath amongst kaleidoscopic arrays of images, specimens and interactives.
